En esta nueva edición de La Cultura Es Femenina 2020 contaremos con la participación de la directora de animación Wiep Teeuwisse, generando así sinergias entre canarias y Los Países Bajos!
Wiep Teeuwisse (1993), nació en Leiden, Los Países Bajos, es una directora de animación holandesa. Wiep se graduó en 2015 de la HKU (Universidad de las Artes de Utrecht, NL) con su animación ‘Depart At 22’ (‘Salir a las 22’). ¡Este cortometraje se exhibirá en la exposición cinematográfica del festival La Cultura Es Femenina 2020 el 14 de febrero! l (13-15 de febrero de 2020), se llevará a cabo en espacio cultural El Tanque de Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Se desarrolla en torno al papel de la mujer en la cultura. A través de diferentes medios en el arte, se demuestran roles y visiones diferentes de las mujeres.. Todas las películas que se muestran en esta noche se centran en las mujeres, desde perspectivas diferentes.
‘Depart At 22’ es un cortometraje de animación sobre el proceso de envejecimiento del cuerpo femenino y el miedo a perder la belleza de la juventud.
La Cultura Es Femenina interpreta el «miedo» de este proceso de envejecimiento simultáneamente como una representación de la belleza del cuerpo femenino en todas las edades.
In this new edition of La Cultura Es Femenina 2020 we will have the participation of the Dutch animation director Wiep Teeuwisse, thus generating synergies between the Canary Islands and The Netherlands!
Wiep Teeuwisse (1993), born in Leiden, the Netherlands, is a Dutch animation director. Wiep graduated in 2015 from the HKU (University of the Arts Utrecht, NL) with her animation ‘Depart At 22’. This short movie will be displayed at the Spanish festival La Cultura Es Femenina on the 14th of February 2020! The festival (13-15 February 2020), held in El Tanque in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain, evolves around the role of women in culture. Through different media in art, variating roles and visions of women are demonstrated. On the 14th of February 2020 the festival organizes a movie night. All movies shown at this night focus on women, from variating perspectives.
‘Depart at 22’ is a short animation film about the aging process of the female body and the fear of losing the beauty of youth.
La Cultura Es Femenina interprets the ‘fear’ of this aging process simultaneously as a representation of the beauty of the female body at all ages.
